dry firing damage on new sr22p (pic)

The solution I use is inserting a 4-6-8 X 7/8 dry wall plastic anchor in the chamber... fits just like a 22 round and ejects like a 22 round. You can buy the anchors for $4.50 for a box of 100. I keep a box on my shooting bench, drop one in the chamber and dry fire away...

    dry firing a 22/45

I like to dry fire my MK IIIs, practicing trigger control. So, I go to the hardware store and buy a box of 4-6-8 X 7/8 dry wall anchors, they're yellow in color and sell for $4.50 per 100. They fit in the chamber just like a 22 round and are ejected just like a 22 round. When the edge gets...

    Mark III 22/45 Trigger Help...

After Volquartsen examined the hammer that I returned to them, they sent a new target hammer as a replacement. Installed the new hammer and the gun is shooting flawlessly! Thanks VQ!!

    Mark III 22/45 Trigger Help...

Installing a MK II "hammer bushing" in a MK III allows you to delete the clip safety - it fills the lateral gap and improves the trigger pull. This is a common mod! For clarity, the hammer I reinstalled is the original MK III stock hammer. The issue, I believe, is between the new sear and...

    Mark III 22/45 Trigger Help...

Quick update... Sent an email to Volquartsen describing the issue: Upgraded my MK III 22/45 with Volquartsen accurizing kit and MK II hammer bushing. When checking safety found the following: Cock gun, set safety, pull trigger with safety on, release safety and the hammer falls without...

    Mark III 22/45 Trigger Help...

Ron, Did you replace the sear spring with the one that came in the kit? I did an upgrade yesterday to a MK III 22/45 and the sear package had a note to reuse the factory spring. Also, did you adjust the trigger over travel screw? If you did, you might want to back it out slightly and then...

mark III 22/45 magazine disconnect safety

I'm currently waiting for a MKII VQ bushing to arrive (along with their accurizing kit) to tune up this 22/45 MK III and lose that damn clip interconnect! The MK II bushing will do the job! This gun is really accurate... but the trigger sucks!
