You can have the carbon cylinder satin nickel finished if you need to. It will look very close to brushed stainless.

If that #1 doesnt work out I may have a #3. As you are going to cut it it wouldnt make a difference.

A few years back I took my early 60's 336 to the factory and they replaced everything forward of the receiver with an octogon barrel 38-55CS and did an excellent job. As I recall ilt was about 300.00. I don't know if they are still doing the conversions but it might be worth a call.

A friend just called. Said he had been in a gunshop and saw what he descrilbed as a detachable mag (same type as the 10-22) in an international stock in 41 magnum. I have never heard of it. He is going back tomorrow to make sure of the facts and to make sure it isn't custom. He is good with guns...
