    ruined?

They're probably just fine. In order to significantly anneal brass, it has to be heated almost to the point of glowing. The amount of heat they got from sitting on that burner shouldn't be enough to have any effect. Even if it had been hot enough to anneal the brass, it likely wouldn't make a...

Mini 14 Restricted LE/Gov Use Only

Could have been a prison gun in one of the states that had bans in place. LOTS of mini-14s in use in prisons still today.

    Too Late

Even with my smartphone, just the time it takes to go through the checkout process is enough for things to be sold out by the time I hit the final "submit order" button. Those Ranier bullets should work perfectly well. I shoot a lot of the ranier plated 200gr through my 45acp.

    Midway USA Blems

Yep, any blemishes are cosmetic only, shouldn't have any effects on their functionality.

    Family trade today

My neighbor is a training officer and member of a SWAT team. He and the other instructors take turns collecting the range brass after training events. It's working out good for us, I have components, he has brass.

    Too Late

I have had notifications set up for .223 bullets, if you don't get on within about 5-10 minutes, they're sold out. Luckily, I get notifications on my phone of new emails, follow the link, and check out on the phone. I've gotten lucky a couple of times. Don't forget to go in and renew the...

    Primers found

My brother is a big fan of Moe's. He picked up his AR there right before Christmas.

New To Reloading - Tips, Suggestions, Tricks of the Trade?

If your hands are clean and dry you'll be fine. You don't want to get any oil or moisture in the primer, as the can cause it to fail. Any time I have to handle them (flipping to load pick-up tubes, picking up dropped primers, etc), I try to avoid touching the open side as much as possible...

New To Reloading - Tips, Suggestions, Tricks of the Trade?

I would suggest getting a good dial caliper. Digital might be easier to read, but every time somebody hands me a digital caliper at work, the battery is dead. My dial caliper always works :)

    SR-556e Question

In the "mad rush" to satisfy consumer demand right now, they may have used the chrome BCG in order to get more guns out the door.

Ruger Mini 14 223 made in 2001 stock question

I bought the Ruger tactical model with the ATI stock, and I like it a lot. I also have a Hogue overmolded conventional style stock, and I tend to swap them out every once in a while, for no particular reason. Swapping the stock on the Mini-14 is extremely easy. The most time consuming part on...

    anybody sell their reloads?

I haven't sold any of my reloads, and despite my neighbor's recent requests, probably won't. I did offer to let him come over and learn to load his own, and he could buy some of my components to use. Unfortunately, I'm a little short on brass, but my other neighbor said he has a few thousand...

    327 Primed Brass

I think primed brass is exempt from the haz-mat fee because once the primers are put in cases, the danger of them all going off in one big chain-fire is practically eliminated.

    Here we Go Again

But before lean manufacturing, my company had a strategy of looking at pricing trends on materials, and buying a 3-6 month supply when prices were low. Lean manufacturing means they only keep a couple weeks worth on hand, and get shipments every couple weeks. Traditional inventory practices...

    Here we Go Again

Rick, you're exactly right about one little disruption in the supply line causing huge ripples due to "lean" manufacturing. Anybody that's involved in building for the transportation market knows that first hand after the last year. The majority of the world's supply of a major chemical...
