    Ruger Bearcat 22 magnum cylinder

I understand the possibility; the manual even has some words to that effect; (my Single Six convertible manual). The reason I asked is 'cause I have accidentally done it once. Forgot I had the Magnum cylinder in and shot either one or two cylinders full before I realized it. Did not split any...

    Ruger Bearcat 22 magnum cylinder

Obviously not a good idea, but why would it cause injury??? Just curious.

    Super redhawk question

I also like SA's, and have the 44 Mag Super BH in 7.5" barrel. As to 'why no rails?', I'll give you the short version of my story. I wanted a red dot, and the one I bought would not fit between the rings mounted on the barrel 'cut-outs', so I put a "B-Square" rail on it. Two problems: first...

Lets see those custom SP101 Grips.

Wow! like those Holly grips!! Here are the ones I made; in more common walnut, but I like them. My next set will be made from "Purple Heart" wood. Just finishing up a set in that wood for a semi-auto at the moment. Beautiful wood, but hard as nails!

    327 Fed ammo shortage....AGAIN

Just picked up 2 boxes of AE 100 grain stuff for $25/each + tax. They had a BUNCH of it, and NO limit as to how many you could take. This was at Scheel's in Iowa. As far as brass is concerned, I bought 200 primed cases from FA a number of months ago. I have NO gun of theirs and don't need one...

    Advise on Red Hawk

I think you made the right decision! I have the RH in 41 mag and love it. It has the longer 7.5" barrel, but for me, that is what I wanted. My shooting buddy fired it a few times and then spent several months looking for one. He just found it, and gave a LOT more for it than you're paying...

    357 SIG-opinions

The caliber has intrigued me since I first heard about it. Finally shot one one day at a range. Snappy recoil, as mentioned, but not bad. I, too, LIKE the idea of 357 Mag ballistics in a semiauto. I would have one already except for the fact that the pistol that I had picked out came in 357...

    HKS Speedloader for SR9

+1 !!! I use the uplula for every autoloader I own except the rimfires. 380 up through 10 mm. Works on ALL of them! I didn't believe the laudatory comments I read about it, but they are all true!

    50th anniversary Blackhawk grips

Or... you could just make your own. These are on my 357 "anniversary" BH. Nothing like smooooth, walnut on blued steel..... (Or SS either, for that matter; check out the ones in my avatar.)

    Yellow disk on cylinder ?

I believe your manual also says: "Dry firing" will NOT harm this gun. At least it says that in every (CF) Ruger manual I own, IIRC.

Yeah, I feel your pain. But then you don't HAVE to tell him, do you..... P.S. Welcome to the forum. Lots of good info available here. Hope you enjoy it.

Agree; the 100 grain stuff is still a bit hard to find, too. As to cost, however, WHEN it can be found, it sells for around $25/box of 50. Since I reload, and the 327 brass (yes it is available), sells for around $20/100 unprimed, that means that although 100 loaded cartridges sell for around...

My experience: the SP101 recoil with full bore ammo is considerably more than a 4" Smith 38 with NON +P ammo. I don't have a 357 that is that small, so can't compare directly, but it is more than the recoil of my 4.5" 357 Blackhawk IMO. As mentioned, it depends on the ammo you choose. The 115...

    Stay Away: Black Hills Leather

Sorry to hear of your hassle. It's never fun to have that sort of thing happen. That is one reason why I felt encouraged when, in my first phone call to Luke Adams, (adamsholsters.com), he told me when to expect delivery, and that he would not charge my card until he had done the work. He was...
