    DISAPPOINTED W/"NEW" 1022 Trigger Assembly

I also read good stuff about Brimstone and sent in a trigger group to receive their treatment. What I received back felt really good but it was mid winter and I just installed it then put it away in the safe. When spring came I took it to the range and the problems started. I tried to contact...

    Custom Ruger 22

I can’t say where that sight was sourced from. I don’t have the skills or tools to do this kind of work. I acquired the single six because I have a liking for the 200 year roll mark and wanted an easy packing .22 I commissioned the work from a gunsmith who has built 1 firearm and heavily...

    Custom Ruger 22

NICE ! Here’s a little 200th year I bobbed and bird-headed. 4 inch was short as I could go and keep the roll mark

New from Ruger: LC Carbine chambered in .45 ACP.

Ruger may not “do 40 S&W” at the moment but they have in the past. I have two of the recent PC carbines - one in 9mm and one in .40 S&W. Currently only the 9mm is listed on their website but my guess is the .40 S&W was discontinued due to not enough sales volume to justify continuing production...

My Factory New Super Blackhawk Hunter and Quality issue

In one of the posts above you said you replaced the front sight with a “fiber optic front sight” but later in the posted pictures is a “Brass Bead front sight”. I really like that brass bead front sight! Where did you get that sight?

    1955 Ruger Blackhawk SN 55

OP was off by one year. .44 Mag was introduced in 1956 and that is where the serial # 55 is on the ruger serial # list. https://ruger.com/service/productHistory/RE-Bhawk44.html

    Ruger old army conversion

I have a Super Blackhawk grip frame with wood grips that came off a 3 screw gun. This is the square back trigger guard and has the hole behind the trigger for the plunger and spring. Whoever had this before me had it ceracoted with a brass color but that can be buffed off and reblued. I would...

    .480 shooters?

I guess I simply lucked into right time, right place. When I first got my 6 1/2” SBH, ammo was still available and Starline had brass in stock. I bought a few boxes of ammo and a small supply of brass. A few months later, I noticed .480 ammo going on sale around my area. I talked to a friend who...

    My 480

I heartily agree ! I also had Jack Huntington perform his grip mod on my Bisley 480 but it still bit my knuckle EVERY TIME ! I even went back and had him relieve that area as much as he dared and it STILL bites me ! I will have to change out the grip and frame like you did. People always seem to...

    3 Screw Blackhawk, 357 Mag

I agree wit mrs50sls56 above. This 1959 flat top .357 was acquired by my dad around 1960 and passed to me around 1970. The only thing I’ve changed on it was the grips and grip frame. Never really cared for the aluminum frame so a few years ago I swapped over to a Power Custom Colt style two...
