    Guns from a fire question

I have three Ruger revolvers that were in a house fire, but were rebuilt by a quality gunsmith and are great guns now. I think it depends on how much exposure to heat they had. None of the wood grips were burned, just slightly damaged. The guns finishes were damaged more by water than fire. The...

    41 Magnum Blackhawk

I don’t know what happened to this 41 Magnum before it came to me, but it sure had a rough life somewhere. Look’s don’t effect how this gun shoots though. It’s one of the most accurate guns I have.

    The Lord smiled upon me

That’s quite an adventure. Glad you had a weapon ready to defend yourself.

    22/45 Stuck

Assuming you have the pin and bolt removed, a light tap on the back of the receiver with a plastic hammer should separate it from the frame.

    2023 Deer Season

This buck was within 10 yds of my stand so the shot angle was almost straight down. The entrance took out his spine and exited low just behind his shoulder. The damage to his spine, top of lungs and ribs on exit was massive. The 300 gr Swift did a super job.

    Ruger .44 magnums

The S&W M69 is for carrying as a belt gun during deer season. The 4” SBH by Jim Stroh is too heavy to carry much but it shoots great. The 10” SBH by Jim Stroh is an excellent hunting gun.

    Super Blackhawk

Here’s my 4 5/8” SBH for comparison to the OP. I’m pretty sure his is 4 5/8” too. My gun is a little over 1000 units from the OP gun’s serial number.
