Is the special edition with upgraded wood a distributor exclusive? I would sure like to get in line for one such African model in 9.3x62.

Though I've seen the 300 and 338 Magnum versions of the African on Ruger's site for months, I've yet to find one in the shops or online. Have I just been looking in the wrong place? or are they still in the planning stage?

I am having trouble with the magazine box rattling loosely in my Hawkeye rifle. I do not recall it being loose before I disassembled it, and my other Hawkeyes do not have the problem. I think I may be putting it together wrong but cannot see how. The inletting on the wood stock appears overly...

I see that Ruger is now offering the Hawkeye African model in .338 Winchester Magnum. That seems an appealing rifle to me for this cartridge.
