Wow... I've been away for a couple of days. Lots of good comments. I am gonna hold on to the brass and maybe start looking at 44 Special revolvers. I've been wanting a Charter Bulldog for years but they are few and far between. I guess I'll go gun shopping today since the temps are forecast...

I'll probably just think about it for a while. The brass isn't eating anything, so it doesn't cost anything to stick back on the shelf. If I decided to load it, I'd use mid range loads probably loaded with hard cast bullets and Unique.

I recently ran into this same problem with my 7.5" SBH. It was shooting 240 gr HC SWC's about 6" high at 25 yards with the rear sight screw all the way down. I called Ruger and they said the standard front sight on my gun was a .335" and I could get a .435". I told them to send it. Got it...
