    Ruger 44 magnum semi-auto Carbine

I have for sale a Ruger 44 Magnum semi-auto carbine. S/N 102-37XXX dates the gun to 1977. Rifle will come with scope mounts, scope shown in picture not included. Shoots great, all I've ever shot thru it were 240 grain bullets. We've killed several deer with it using 240 grain JHP's. Overall...

Sell me on the 44 Special

Wow... I've been away for a couple of days. Lots of good comments. I am gonna hold on to the brass and maybe start looking at 44 Special revolvers. I've been wanting a Charter Bulldog for years but they are few and far between. I guess I'll go gun shopping today since the temps are forecast...

Sell me on the 44 Special

I'll probably just think about it for a while. The brass isn't eating anything, so it doesn't cost anything to stick back on the shelf. If I decided to load it, I'd use mid range loads probably loaded with hard cast bullets and Unique.

Sell me on the 44 Special

I have a 7.5" SRH and SBH, and also an old model Ruger carbine and a Marlin 1894 all in 44 mag. A few weeks ago a friend gave me 116 pieces of 44 Special brass, 66 once fired Remington and 50 new Starline. I reload and have ~800 44 Mag brass. Is there any reason why I need to keep this 44...

    Glocks and non-jacketed bullets?

I'll have to vary from the crowd. I shoot USPSA with a G35 and have shot hard cast lead for years. About once or twice a year I take the slide off and put a couple of drops of CLP on the rails. Other than that, it's to the range and back in the safe. No telling how many 10's of thousands of...

    Super Blackhawk POI help

I recently ran into this same problem with my 7.5" SBH. It was shooting 240 gr HC SWC's about 6" high at 25 yards with the rear sight screw all the way down. I called Ruger and they said the standard front sight on my gun was a .335" and I could get a .435". I told them to send it. Got it...

New 44 mag Super Redhawk owner would like some advice

Lots of good info here. Since we don't run across too many grizzlies here in Arkansas, I use 240 grain bullets. I use a 240 gr HC SWC over 9.0 gr Unique for 1070 FPS from my 7.5" SBH and SRH, and a 240 gr XTP over 22.0 gr H110. The lead load is just a dream to shoot, light recoil and plenty...
