Whether or not grip panels can be swapped from a new model to an old model Dragoon, I have no idea...

I have never heard of Z-Cote being used on a Ruger, but there it is...
Z-Cote is normally thought to only have been factory applied to Colts, and then only on HBAR, AR, and 1911 in VERY limited quantities...
Weird...
Shoot it with the compacts before you invest in a different grip...
Many people (including me) prefer the compacts to the full size originals...
To me the Hogues are just butt-ugly, and uncomfortable...

The best gummy grip I have ever found for the SBH was the Uncle Mike's #59001...
They come up on eBay quite frequently...
There is one set there now, but they are higher priced than what I'd be willing to spend...
The last two that sold went for less than $20...
