The 50th Anniversary SBH has the larger Dragoon (square-back trigger guard) grip frame... Whether or not grip panels can be swapped from a new model to an old model Dragoon, I have no idea...

I have never heard of Z-Cote being used on a Ruger, but there it is... Z-Cote is normally thought to only have been factory applied to Colts, and then only on HBAR, AR, and 1911 in VERY limited quantities... Weird...

Shoot it with the compacts before you invest in a different grip... Many people (including me) prefer the compacts to the full size originals... To me the Hogues are just butt-ugly, and uncomfortable... YMMV

Fixed site GP-100's came with 'compact' grips... The internal post is the same size, so grips are interchangeable...

Well, I'll be...Even has the slot for the take-down pin... Thank you very much... Very interesting, and kinda surprising to me that I have never heard of them before...I thought the whole point of the GP-100 post and locating pin design was to facilitate a slip-on grip... I have a very late...

I have never heard of a two piece factory grip on the early GP-100's... I'd love to see pics of the grip off the gun...

I find stock grips the exact opposite... They are too small for me, and I have medium size hands compared to most Men...

The best gummy grip I have ever found for the SBH was the Uncle Mike's #59001... They come up on eBay quite frequently... There is one set there now, but they are higher priced than what I'd be willing to spend... The last two that sold went for less than $20... All that said, a good set of...
