    Redhawk in .357

At it's most basic, yes. Wolff and others have spring kits of the Redhawk. Problem being when using a single spring for both the hammer and trigger return, as you go down in spring pressure it directly and immediately lowers the hammer impact on the primer reducing reliable ignition. That's the...

    Redhawk in .357

Glad they brought out the 4.2 & 5.5 barrels, I'm almost tempted. I have a 5.5 Redhawk in 41mag and love the balance. But isn't past time to update the entire Redhawk line lockworks to the 2 spring design of the SuperRedhawk-GPs-etc? The single spring Redhawk is a good, highly reliable design...

    Ruger 1911 10mm

Yes, his post also made me smile. I put 200+ the first day to the range. I don't feel I can start to take stock on a new weapon till I hit 500 minimum, more like 1K rounds. I've been trying for 30+ years now to wear out my Dillon 450B press but it just keeps on chooglin without issue.

RUGER NEW 10MM SUPER REDHAWK STAINLESS $839 SHIPPED!

I am surprised, but I believe Ruger may find they made a mistake in the pairing. I know many will sell, but would be willing to bet you'd be sold out by now if that was a GP100 build.

    Old Model .41 Magnum Blackhawk

I consider reloading an absolute necessity if your a not a millionaire and like to shoot a lot. Specially if you own and shoot a few big magnums + a couple of the less popular calipers. I bought my .41 Redhawk and my Dillon 450 press right about the same time in the early mid 80's, since along...

    Old Model .41 Magnum Blackhawk

You might try wearing a motorcycle style fingerless glove. I keep a pair in my range bag for the days I need a little padding due to something like this.

RUGER NEW 10MM SUPER REDHAWK STAINLESS $839 SHIPPED!

Ruger's really gotten on the 10mm bandwagon, cool, I have the SR1911 10mm and may need one of these for a companion. Will have to wait till after the holidays for now.

    Ruger 1911 10mm

I put about 2 mags of BB 180g JHP down the pipe a while back. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/645333/buffalo-bore-ammunition-10mm-auto-180-grain-jacketed-hollow-point-box-of-20 They functioned without issue and had a very stout recoil. I didn't have my chrono out that day but subjectively...

Having that big thick walled barrel probably didn't hurt either.

    SR1911 10mm Journey

Careful what you ask for, I suck as a photographer. Let's see if this google share link works, never did this before. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8varPoqs5PDMHpHdTkxNjBMcm8/view?usp=sharing OK, link works but not to insert the photo. Late tonight, I'll try more tomorrow. Anyway, still a...

    SR1911 10mm Journey

Good thing I had another 1911 to steal the slide stop from. I talked to Ruger today and explained what happened. They said there was no record of a request for the broken slide stop, only the guide retainer clips? Said they'd send one out ASAP and I would have it in a week or so. Glad I went...

    SR1911 10mm Journey

Part 4 Got a couple packages in the mail this morning, the Nighthawk Custom Medium trigger I ordered from Midway, and a envelope from Ruger with a couple guide rod retainer clips but no slide stop pin? Wonder if they forgot the important piece or it's coming separately, whatever I'll call them...

    SR1911 10mm Journey

Understandable point. Thing was I bought the gun on a hell of deal off Gun Broker sight unseen. If I'd had a chance to look the piece over I probably would have passed on it. The weakness of buying a gun that way, but never expected this. My other Rugers are much much better. I'm curious to...

    SR1911 10mm Journey

SR1911 10mm Journey Thought I would chronicle my journey with my new SR1911 10mm. I been a Ruger guy for 40 years and have many in my safe. I'll disclose right off the top here that overall I was more than a bit disappointed in this one, at least more so than any other Ruger I've purchased over...
