Value of a first year Red Label 20 ga?

Thanks again for the info. The contractor has decided not to take it in trade for his work. So I will be selling it in a few weeks.

Value of a first year Red Label 20 ga?

thanks for the data point. The condition of yours sounds like mine. I don't think it has a three-digit serial number, though. Anyhow, whether the Red Label goes to my acquaintance or not, it is time to pass it on to a new owner.

Value of a first year Red Label 20 ga?

I have not posted in a long time having sold almost all of the many Ruger firearms I had in order to pay medical expenses. One I have remaining is a 20 ga. Red Label that was made in 1978, the first year of production. I want to trade it to an acquaintance in exchange for some work he is doing...

    Model of 1917

Thanks, Joe. Yes, I think I have it priced fairly and am not in a hurry. I might take your suggestion and post it on some C&R sites if it doesn't move here. I like Ruger Forum and have bought and sold several guns here over the past seven or eight years. Those have dealt with me, know I'm a...

Winchester Model 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine

To answer Wolfsong's question, overall length is 38 inches. Barrel length is 20 inches. I shot it only once, about 15 years ago before I had it cleaned by a gunsmith. It shot well. The action is slick, as you might imagine.

    Model of 1917

I don't see that the title is a big deal one way or the other since this is just a listing of classified ads. All I'm trying to do is to sell off my gun collection to help support myself since I've been out of work for a year and a half and am really struggling. Since I have been a member of...

    Model of 1917

Thanks, Craig. I appreciate the suggestion. I felt that on a board of gun enthusiasts the name "Model of 1917" would be sufficient since the "of" differentiates this rifle from other firearms with "1917" in the name. And "Model of 1917" is the name by which the rifle is known (BTW, it was the...

Winchester Model 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine

The bore has some pitting, as one would expect for a hunting rifle used for nearly a century. When I bought it about 15 years ago, I had it checked out and thoroughly cleaned by a gunsmith, and I have not shot it since. I have other photos. Anyone interested can email me about them.

110453. The smudges on the photo were my editing attempt to make an XX out of the last two numbers. It was manufactured in December 1917 with the barrel dated 6-18
