New 30-30 Brass sticking in the chamber a little. UPDATE

Not sure if this helps, I've had to anneal all the prvi partisan brass to get it to hold it's size well and to cycle well. I've only used it in 7.5 swiss, after that experience, haven't used a single piece in any other chambering.

WTS AMT Backup .45 ACP reduced

Wish I could say I need another. Originsl box, manual, and mags, that's a good deal. Best of luck to you.

    Metallic silhouette shooting SBH?

Either would be really fun and give you a great start until you really gone in on what you want. Especially if you load your own loads. In my experience, I really needed new sights on the 7.5" SBH, the 10" having more appropriate sights out of the box. But ya, that would probably be a first...

    9mm and Blue Dot powder

Yep, that's what I use for my Hi Power with good results. For better accuracy I've gone to AA7, but in a full size 9, I do get great results fr that combo.

    7.5 Redhawk for silhouettes?

Hi all, Thanks for your replies, sorry I haven't made it back more... Yes, I've always wanted a Redhawk, just liked the shorter version, but came across this one and thought I might take care of two needs at once. But... I was actually looking for an upland o/u when I came across the RH...

    7.5 Redhawk for silhouettes?

Thanks! Haven't quite figured out what I want yet. Most folks at our club are using 6.5" S&W 29's for off hand with the Blackhawks for sitting. I liked how those 29's balanced and was hoping to find that in a more affordable package (and this Redhawk would definitely be more affordable). I...

    7.5 Redhawk for silhouettes?

Been using an 10.5" SBH and looking for something a little shorter for off hand matches. Came across a 7.5" Redhawk and wondered if many folks have used those for off hand silhouettes? Thanks!

    CCI minimags hard?

I'd like to say the same, but I haven't had any misfires from MiniMags, which is the round of choice for my son's 10/22

    Ammo Prices going up

That's like 85 cents a shot! I think someone needs to learn how to load 30/30. Even off the shelf premium components will be half that. I had old oatmeal cans with 30/30 brass kicking around in my garage long before I even had a 30/30 just cause I thought they were cool. My current all...

    Ammo Prices going up

That's about the same increase I've seen for fed out here (though our prices were a bit higher to start with). I've seen the largest increases with CCI and the lowest increases with Eley.

    Ammo on shelves

Places that have raised prices 10-20% around here have .22 lr on the shelves reliably. Shops that have not raised prices have lines on the mornings they get their shipments in and sell out by mid morning.

.22 ammo. Does anyone know for real?

That had been my experience too, but I've been seeing some interesting 223/5.56 brass come through. My new practices are to use a primer pocket swager on each piece. Nice and uniform, no crushed primers. I'll do that with all 223 brass I get, size and trim them, then keep them separate.

.22 ammo. Does anyone know for real?

OK, I'm going to dissect this just to add some perspective. Not trying to get on anyone's case, I've heard this a bunch of times from a bunch of folks and wanted to share personal experience and that of friends. Ok, so "ample supply" is a few thousand rounds of bulk .22? This is not hunting...

Help !!! 308 Ruger Hawkeye Loads

The company makes a nice kit, but personally, I make my own out of either heavy weight monofilament or old fly fishing line and use old t-shirts or sheets as the patches. Some, I've attached to modified plastic Hoppe's jags. Throw it in a ziplock with some wet patches and keep one in each kit...

Safest way to lightly bevel edge of .45 Colt case?

I've played this game before, and agree with cellar701, in the end it is less headache to fix the gun rather than modify the ammo and hope it works. Not sure how far you've gone into it, but if you haven't yet, a thorough cleaning is in order (yes, very thorough strip and cleaning). While the...
