    P95 Mag Release

You really don't need a smith. If your worry is only the mag release you simply push on the back of the spring up in the magwell. If I was closer Id help out for sure. Tinkering on P-guns is fun for me. Haven't done it in awhile but fun. Google around a bit more and see if you can find more...

    P95 Mag Release

Found this which seems pretty good but right at the end (10:20) he talks about but doesn't actually remove the mag release. The 95 is a bit harder because the grip is solid and you have to go up the magwell to apply pressure on the spring. I really think it is simply you are pushing in instead...

    P95 Mag Release

https://ruger-docs.s3.amazonaws.com/_manuals/p95Decocker.pdf The manual doesn't really tell the truth about the mag release for the P-guns. You simply push the release forward. Not really in at all. It has to pivot forward to come out of the hole in the front of the magazine. The pic I posted...

    P95 Mag Release

Pics added! A diagnosed P-nut finally found a .45 acp P-97..how scarce are these guns?

I think the 97 model was towards the end of the P-series. They switched gears to the 345 model with a bit of a redesign and that was it for the P-guns. I had one years ago that was sent into Ruger for a frame issue. They ended up selling me a 1911 as a replacement because there are no more 97...

    P 94 with integrated laser

You used to be able to look at sold items on Gunbroker. There you could see the last price of one sold. They are getting harder to find so that info could be dated. Also the "P94" could mean several things to a non p-nut person. Not sure of your level of P-nutness. KP94L would be a 9mm...

Ruger P Series pistols. How good are/were they?

I said sell off because you can't take it with you and currently my kids don't seem to care about them. Rather sell them vs leave them to be sold later for pennies. I like to think I have a few years left to think about it.... HAHA and maybe the kids will get into it? Hard to say.

Ruger P Series pistols. How good are/were they?

I've tinkered with a few in my day. Still have a safe full. The kids and I usually shoot a GP100 in 22lr though... I'll sell them off in time I guess. P89 was my first pistol then I got the bug and started collecting them. Have a few rare units but nothing super special. REM finish is my...

    Before…and After

Link?! Those are pretty sweet. I used to add medalions from Ruger to my P-gun grips. Typically would mod a Hogue grip or Uncle Mikes to get rubber. Keep the P-guns alive!!

odd factory stamp on P gun barrel front

Hardness testing typically does not leave a mark. My guess is a second of some sort which strikes me as odd because the slide wouldn't carry a serial number and ruger could have simply fit a new slide. So not 100% sure.

    P95 Interchangable Slides?

Does that function? 89 frame? Which upper? Can't make it out.

    P95 Interchangable Slides?

I have a very early slide stop on one of my 89s. I also have an early 85. Not sure what the proto type would be specifically? https://www.grantcunningham.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/rugerp85.jpg This shows the slide stop. Sort of reminds me of a feathered wing. Very long and thin. Easy to...

    P95 Interchangable Slides?

I concur with the_leper_colony. I tinkered mostly with P89 models and then the P94. The P95 was towards the end of the P-guns. If you want 40 cal I suggest finding a good P944 model. Like the 95 in a lot of ways but a bit longer and metal frame make for some weight difference. I do get tickled...

    FMJ or JHP??

How much does he have? Maybe ask for it all at a discount. I haven't bought 9mm in a bit so not sure on price but google will tell you. As for what type to buy it depends on what you do with it. Also brand may come into play. I typically just plink so any old round ball will work for that.
