    Redhawk Spring Swap?

I had a Redhawk and never did like it. Finally traded it off. It busted my knuckle like the Smiths do me. I never did like the trigger in it. It would be a lot better if they put the same trigger unit in it as they do the GP and the Super Redhawk. Those are good triggers and neither one of...

    454 Casull Super Redhawk Trigger

I had a 454 Alaskan Super Redhawk. The trigger unit is the same as a GP100. You can fix it easy. I just smoothed out the parts and put the suggested springs in it. My GP100 has about 2000 rounds through it and trigger pull is like 2 lb. It is a target gun to me. I got rid of my Alaskan. I...

    GP 100 Grips

Mine came with the Hogue rubber grips with the finger grooves. They fit my hand perfect. I ordered some rubber with wood inserts and tried them. They look much better but I shoot better with the rubber grips. So they stayed on it.

    Issue with used GP100

On my GP when it was new I had a similar problem that it only had with winchester cases on my reloads. It would bind up and not rotate the cylinder. I gave all of my winchester cases to my son in law. I checked and stoned the gap and even polished the backplate because the winchester cases...

    Wow Brass prices

Wow I like the free cases I pick up at the range. Yesterday I was at Bass Pro and saw some new cases and looked at them. I couldn't believe they were about 30 cents each. That is awful when you can reload a round for 11 cents using used brass. I can pick up a lot of them at the range I go...

    Lots of 480 Ruger Alaskans

I had one in the 454. I think I shot two 454 through it and then went to light loads of 45 colt. Very goo shooting gun. I didn't really have a need for it and didn't shoot it much so I traded it. It is really good using the same trigger unit as the GP100. It was much better than the 45 colt...

    Lipsey's GP100 44 Special cylinder won't turn without help

That sounds like what my 357 was doing. And it only did it with Winchester cases. All the others were OK. I tried several things with no luck. Then one day I cleaned the cylinders with some cleaner and a brush in a drill and took off the trigger unit and flushed it out and oiled it. Never...

Ruger Double Action Slotted Ejector Rod Screwdriver Bit

No need to drill it. It fits right on there. In fact I think the pin pushes in when you put the bit in there. I had to get one when my cylinder came lose. Works good. Well worth the price to have it in your tools.

    Reloading

If you are going to reload with cast bullets you need the Lyman cast bullet reloading manual. It is a very good recipe book.

    Government to destroy Military brass!

When it comes to government, military, and politicians it is who greases the pockets the most. No logic applies.

    A question for Brass Magnet

On my burn chart I show 4895 as number 119 on the list and Win 748 as 137. The lower number is the hotter powder.

    Redhawk takedown issue

I think mine had a problem like that the first time I took it apart. I cleaned up the hole that the pin goes through. Had a burr on it.

    Gunshow finds

Really nice guns. Our local shop had a like new six a year or two ago for 500. I looked at it but was not looking for another revolver. Wish I did now. I do have a GP100 I wouldn't trade for anything. I wouldn't mine a nice six to add to it. The older I get the more I like my revolver...
