    My new-to-me Security Six

Mine is a blued carbon steel version. It came with a Pachmair Presentation rubber grip that is functional and comfortable, but I'm wanting to replace it with some wood. I've long been a S&W DA revolver guy and a Ruger SA revolver guy, but this Security Six is growing on me.

    Ballistol and Kroil

I use both Ballistol and Kroil and highly recommend them. However, both have distinctive odors that your wife may find objectionable.

    My new-to-me Security Six

This afternoon I went to my local gun shop/range to do some shooting. While in the shop, I looked over a 4" Security Six that I had been considering for some time. The owner, a good friend, offered to let me shoot the revolver and even fronted a box of ammo. Well, long story short, I really...

    .300 H&H !!!!

If Ruger follows through, I'll buy one. I really like the grand old 300 H&H cartridge. The 30 Super in a Number 1... I like the sound of that!

Do you shoot the BearCat Well?

I really like my Bearcat and it shoots quite well for me. I often carry it while woods bumming and also while hunting. I've taken gray squirrels with it. I have large hands, but the small Bearcat hasn't been a problem for me.

    Bisley Woes

We're all a bit different when it comes to a single action revolver's grip. I absolutely cannot shoot a SBH without getting my second finger smacked. The Ruger Bisley grip works well for me. I do have large hands. :D

Want sizing die, .45 Colt, to size to .447"

Lee recommends using a 45 ACP sizing die.

    Ruger 96

The 96/44 is a sweet little rifle that is right at home in the deer woods. If you like the two you have, you'll love the 44 version.

    Accuracy Problems ???

I love Ruger Blackhawk revolvers. I cannot use the Dragoon style SBH frame at all. Like you, the squared rear of the trigger guard beats my middle knuckle horribly. I did try a Hogue grip, but didn't like the looks of it so I got rid of it and the SBH. Some folks can shoot the SBH without...

    Trimming Handgun Case Tolerance

Flatgate is correct, using a good crimp die is very important. You might also consider setting your crimp to the mid-point case length for the cases you have ready. That way, the variation in crimp would be minimized.

    Very Satisfying

I love to spend some time loading up ammo in the basement. I have a nice Dillon Square Deal, but seldom use it. I like working with a single stage press to load either handgun or rifle ammo. That process just suits my personality better.
