    Used brass ??

    That will work or put on a cookie sheet and oven dry at the lowest heat setting. I used to do that until I got a food dehydrator to dry my brass.

    Was it cleaned and lubed before shooting it? It should have been.

    I would put it in a freezer overnight, then heat the receiver with an electric heat gun. I'd heat the top of the receiver so hopefully both sides expand the same.
