It is an easy fix but still makes one a bit worried that the spring may fail at the wrong time. The very little springs that are responsible for so much might be the LCP's weak link.

OK... I figured it out. It was the trigger spring popping out of position.

During today's range session, my LC9 trigger/hammer suddenly failed to reset (the trigger stayed disconnected) each time after I fired a round. I would need to cycle the action manually to feed a new round (ejecting the one I couldn't fire cuz the trigger was disconnected) and then the trigger...

Instead of dipping my LC9 barrel in vinegar, I simply wrapped the barrel with a vinegar-soaked paper towel. I waited about 20 minutes and the bluing came right off. At first, it looks TERRIBLE but once polished with Flitz, it is a thing of beauty. Thank You for posting this "how to" tip. My LC9...
