I use almost all Hornady bullets for handgun but don't have the new style ogive you are talking about. The 45 ACP HAPs I have are COL 1.250" and of course work fine in my 1911s with both match and stock barrels. The latest manual I have is 9th edition, has the 10th been changed?
The 9mm is enough for the FBI because they have multiple officers shooting at one person, so being machine gunned so to speak by two, three or more agents with 9mm of course their results show no need for more power. :D
