I was given a 1957 622 with a 6" barrel a while back. It's the basic pull-pin cylinder model. Built like a tank- but the grip is really too small for me. I wonder if the trigger guards are swappable- the one with the web to relocate your grip looks like it might help.

I just double checked. Sometimes stuff shows up in pictures that we don’t readily see with the naked eye. However, luckily this isn’t the case. I had just wiped this down with a silicone cloth and that was smears that reflected. No blemish there.
I agree with wanting to do it myself. I have a hard time not finding flaws or shortcomings in projects that I don't do myself. The grip frame to main frame is the easy part- it just requires precision. The contours of the grip panels and the front and back straps and trigger guard require more...
