I know this thread is from a few weeks back but I use the Tandemkross take down pin in my Lcp custom and it works fine. I spoke with a lady there and she told me that some customs had had issues with the pin. I bought one anyway just to see. It's been in the gun for about 4 months with no problems.
I just bought a 22/45 about a month ago and I know what you are talking about on some of the issues. The gun has a mag disconnect to make states like california happy. That is what is causing your problems with mags. The disconnect puts pressure on the mag so that causes the mags to not drop...
A mallet won't hurt your sight or your slide. You can mark the slide with a sharp pencil so you can tell how far the sight moves when you hit it. Even though you are shooting 4" groups at 7 yards your pistol is capable of better than that. I would bet from a ransom rest it would do that at 25...
I have a p97 and a p95 with a rail. I have an uncle mike's holster injection molded holster that is suppose to fit both. It doesn't. The p97 is fine but the p95 is more squared on the frame where the rail is. An older p95 non railed gun would be fine. Mark
Dissembled hi cap mags can be shipped to california. I just sold and shipped 3 witness 16 round mag kits this week on another forum in california. Perfectly legal.
I also have a p97. A while back I was starting to get extraction problems. I took out the extractor and added a little tension and that fixed the problem. Take the slide by itself and slide an empty shell up under the extractor hook. You should be able to shake the slide a little without...
Yes those guns pictured aren't mine. They are an accurate representation of the before and after though. As for the cost I bought a complete 95dc minus the frame on auctionarms for about $75 shipped. I then sold the left over slide, barrel and parts for $65 so I was in to the project for $10. Mark
Yes I converted my P95 to decocker. I switched the complete slide, the trigger bar and the ejector for it to work. I also changed the slide stop and mag release since I was going from a blued gun to a stainless version. It works great after the conversion too. It looked like this when I got it...
