Yeah these 4 inch MKII models are my favorites too. Only have 3 of them so far...
I put a Volquartsen 3.5 inch threaded barrel on a standard MKIV target Model 40101.
Makes for a great suppressor host. The 3 MKII pistols pictured are
22/45 P4B Model 0189.
Davidson MK4B Model 0139
Lipsey MK4BL...
Check with Volquartsen Clearance page from time to time. Sometimes they have 4-3/4 and 6 inch take off barrels on sale for 40-50 dollars. I just looked and nothing right now but you never know.
Maybe someone should send a cadre of lawyers, FBI and DOJ agents to search, clean and organize all your forgotten items. Who knows, maybe they'll find some classified documents in your garage. Seems like there's a lot of that going around these days!
Here's a rare MK IV 4"barrel.
OK It's a standard 5.5" target model with a 3.5" Volquartsen threaded barrel.
I still like the looks of it. And it should make a great suppressor host as well.
What about the 22/45 4 inch version? Catalog P4 Model 00189. I prefer the standard grip over the 45 angled grip but I know that's pretty much a personal preference.
Wondering if there are any differences if any beside the gold trigger and thumb rest on grip between the Lipsey 4 inch 00138 and a 00139? I know the Lipsey model only had 2,455 produced making it harder to find. Also any numbers on how many 00139s were produced? I can't believe how many variants...
Greetings! Sounds like we have a lot in common. I too am a regular on OK Shooters Association and S&W Forums. Realized I owned way too many Rugers to not be here. Lot of great folks here with a lot of great information.
I was at the Wanenmacher gun show yesterday and saw the same pistol listed for 800 dollars. He wouldn't come down so I passed. I thought 550-600 was more realistic. But I did manage to pick up these 3 instead.
