Factory ammo and hand loads for the PC 9?

Would love to try AA#7. Closest I have is Power Pistol. Lyman recommends PP and #7 for the carbine, maybe I'll switch.

Factory ammo and hand loads for the PC 9?

Thanks. Have plenty of 147 plated and W231, I think I'll start there.

    10/22 barrel slightly canted

Didn't notice how bad my mid-90's carbine is until I dropped it into a Hogue youth spprter stock. It rides hard on the left side of the barrel channel (I did the test). It's unsightly, and I don't think it contributes to accuracy. I like the stock more than the receiver, so I'm hoping to replace...

Factory ammo and hand loads for the PC 9?

Put a deposit down on a 9mm PC carbine and was wondering if PC owners have any favorite bullets or bullet weights that have proven to be accurate? I know all guns are different, just trying to see if there are any trends in PC accuracy.

    Light 357 load

7 grains Unique under any 125 grain jacketed or plated in magnum brass. Very easy shooting. Standard primer.

Does this new brake make my PC9 look fat?

I was just thinking of the same set up when I ran across this thread. Looks OK to me.

    accuracy of Trail Boss loads...

In 357 I got good accuracy with lead, poor accuracy with plated, never tried it with jacketed. Best used in big pistol cases like .45 Colt and reduced rifle loads. TB is outstanding in reduced 30-30 loads. For .357/.38 loads Unique, Clays, Red Dot, even Titegroup are better choices IMO.

    Universal or Titegroup.

I used to shoot a lot of Titegroup in .357, it worked well, but burns very hot, even in light loads. It delivered the accuracy though, I used it in my 100 yard silhouette loads. Haven't used it in years though. Universal is much nicer to work with. Burns clean and cool.

    Ruger no.1 30-30 loads

#1 in 30-30? Nice. In my 30-30 single shot Handi rifle I shoot a lot of plinkers. Mostly commercial cast .309" 115 LRN (.30 carbine bullet) over 6 grains of Trail Boss and alox on the bullets. Very accurate, quiet like a 22.

My New Lee Classic 4 Hole Turret Press report...

Very nice. I really like turret presses. What are you loading?

    RCBS taper crimp die...?

I crimp about .007" on my plated bullets( .377" over the bullet, .370" at the case mouth), or just to the point where I see a slight distortion in the bullet's surface at the case mouth. Recovered bullets show the crimp line, but no peeling or cutting through.

Universal powder and Lee Dippers do not agree for me

You have a scale and dippers, all you need is a powder trickler to fine tune your loads. it doesn't take more than a few seconds to trickle the charge up to what you want, plus you'll eliminate the charge variations with the dippers. For all my high end loads in 357 I trickle Unique. For...

    Blackhawk vs. GP100 Trigger

I've owned 4 Blackhawks and 1 GP100 and the GP had the best trigger by far. Bought it in 2013. The GP is the better gun over all IMO.

    Coated bullet makers

I like SNS and The Blue Bullets.
