I got one of those at Casbela's on Friday - first one I'd seen too. The clerk told me they had 20 when they opened the new store - 2 left after I got mine.

I just picked up my second 10/22 and installed a PowerCustom hammer, sear and bolt release. Not having to use two hands to release the bolt makes the rifle much more enjoyable in my opinion.

I just picked up a 10/22-FS ( 16" threaded barrel and flash suppressor). The receiver is back to a smooth black finish(anodize?) and the bolt is better finished that the previous carbine I bought ~ 6 months ago. Looks and shoot good :D

I bought 1/2 moon clips fro Ruger ~2 months ago. When I first called, the lady on the phone told me they hadn't inventoried them in 3 years, but would ask the warehouse person to see if they had any. She called back the next day and sold me 3 packs of 12 - great support IMO. The envelope says...

Naw...I got some of those eyes too :roll: I ordered an orange insert front blade from Numrich - it was looked too tall when it got here so I haven't tried installing it yet. In the mean time, while I was waiting for the new blade, I painted the front ramp flat white & its much easier to pick...

I bought the gun used without any clips and picked up the full moons I have at a gun show. Last time out, I had to help start the fired +P cases out with a D-Jammer. Just going to try the Ruger sourced 1/2 moon clips to see if it helps.

Thanks for the replies. I've always had the 115 gr Corbon as a carry ammo for my 3914, so I tend to pick up 115s for practice. I'll do some experimenting and try some heavier bullets in the Six.

I picked up a used 9mm Speed Six years ago and never really shot it much. When I took it to the range the other day, it seemed happy shooting and ejecting the cheap Federal 115 gr FMJ I picked up for practice. I also ran a cylinder of 115gr Corbon +P which grouped better but was very difficult...
