Bought a new gun with no rifling, single six .32

About 35 years ago I had a S&W revolver in my hands that only had half the barrel rifled.

Anyone ever play with the .357 Maximum anymore?

Oddly enough, or maybe not so oddly, I got my Maximum from Mr Campbell. He's the best pistol shot I know. He and I have laid an awful lot of critters to rest with a lot of different tools.

Anyone ever play with the .357 Maximum anymore?

I'll second the 180 hp on top of 20/IMR4227 with a Rem small rifle primer. Every deer I have used it on has had a very short death run, all being hit right where I was looking. Mine is a 7 1/2 inch Blackhawk.

Taller rear sight blade for a Maximum

After some thought I contacted Ruger. I now have two different high blades in the mail, no charge. What a great company. Problem solved.

Taller rear sight blade for a Maximum

David, we are in complete agreement. I am in fact going to try and fab my own blade today. The original blade is .042 thick. I have some .040 steel shim stock that should work and I have the skills. And yes the Maximum is a top notch deer whacker.

Taller rear sight blade for a Maximum

Filing the front blade would in fact solve the problem. However that is a permanent fix that alters the gun forever. A simple blade change is quite reversible. I will be contacting Sixshot. Thanks for the info.

Taller rear sight blade for a Maximum

As the subject line suggests I am in need of a taller rear blade. I have a 7.5 inch gun that is in fact sighted in for 50 yards, but, the rear assembly is WAY up there. I would like to get it down a little tighter to the frame. I am using a 180 gr bullet at just under 1600 fps with excellent...
