    41Mag. shortie

It came to me as a 41. I just milled down the receiver flat to emulate the flattop.

Wonder what happened to that tooling? Am thinking that resurrecting any type of 3 screw technology would be a huge chore.

Got me there... I didn't look close enough at all. Ej. sleeve, upside down bolt stops, no loading gate. Coffee, coffee. Beautiful gun.

    Outstanding! Haven't seen that one.

Yeah, also a Bisley hammer which Power Custom makes is an option.

Thanks for the replies. Don't think it's going anywhere. Loads will indeed include silver tips with kieth style semi-wad cutters as well.

3.5" brl. Pull area on the cylinder pin is non existent. Metal was removed on the back of the ejector as well. Gives the empty cartridges a bump is about all. If memory serves me right, a bulge in the barrel made it necessary to go to that length.

    455 Eley

I think, probably what I'll do is look for one in 45 LC. Do I have too many 45LC's? Not even. :)

Thanks, all, for the help. Had not realized that the case head for that round was so thin. oldies

    455 Eley

Need to find out what caliber brass is suitable to convert to .455 Eley. I have scads of 45 LC brass if it will work. Visited Star Line's web site, but could not find any 455. Thanks, oldies

    My old 44 ft, un-fired

I like the portability and handling, but the recoil with stout loads is insane.

    My old 44 ft, un-fired

Much appreciated. I have a few Rugers that are close enough in caliber and design that I'm ok with just handling and admiring this one.

Thanks all. Yes, the shortie is an old cut down, flat topped Super .44 mag with fluted cylinder and XR3 red grip frame. Grips come from a new production Blackhawk and wear black eagle medallions with blued screw hardware. Don't mostly push the payload of the cartridge with this gun because, like...
