    Slam fires in Mini-30

Actually, I did buy it used. But this is only the second time I have fired it. I bought it because relatives always wanted to go shooting when they came to visit. I wanted something cheap for them to shoot. (They never paid for ammo.) So I found this Mini 30 that looked brand new for only $400...

    Slam fires in Mini-30

Gee, sorry if I didn't know the correct term. Pull trigger, shoots twice.

    Sasquatch hunters' rifle

Oh, please don't shoot Santa Claus! Now reindeer is another story . . . For Bigfoot? .45-70 (Overkill for reindeer, but will still work.)

    Slam fires in Mini-30

I was putting a red dot scope on my Mini 30, and while trying to sigh it in the gun began slam firing. It was suggested to me that the firing pin may be bent or very dirty. Was also told that the Wolf ammo is rough on firing pins. (Yes, that is what I was using.) Does anyone make a titanium...

    Will you buy a SR9c?

Thank goodness you didn't get the Taurus! I'd rather trust a sharp stick.

    22 revolver question

I almost bought a .22 mag ages ago, but at the time a box of .22 mag and a box of .38 Specials were the same price, so I never bothered with the .22 mag. Ammo prices are so crazy today that I don't know if that is still true or not. But heck, if you've got a good shootin' .22LR, ya don't need no...

    Pocket pistol for snakes

I've only shot one snake with snake shot. Shot 'em twice ('bout 5 feet in front of me) with CCI .38/.357 shot shells. I really ticked him off, but he left in a hurry. Might have died later, but he was movin' too fast at the time for me to get a third shot. I was kinda underwhelmed with the CCI...

    sr9c problem - see picture

I used to sell guns many years ago, and I noticed the same problem with the black S&W autos. The crappy finish was very fragile and would just chip off.

    down to 4 1911 choices!

I found out that the Taurus "lifetime warranty" means that you can keep sending the gun back to them for the rest of your life, and they may, or may not, ever get it fixed right. And they really don't care.

    Will you buy a SR9c?

I got here too late to vote, but I would have said, "No." I carry a Glock 21 and to me the regular SR9 is pretty small. I need another CCW like I need another hemorrhoid, however, (it may be blasphemy to say this here) I'm waiting for the new Charter Arms revolver in .45 ACP. I like the Bulldog...

    New Model Blackhawk Convertible

I agree; 5.5 is a better length. How much (ea.) did that cost to do?

    New Model Blackhawk Convertible

I've had better accuracy with jacketed loads rather than plain lead. If it can handle .357 loads, it won't even blink at any 9mm loads.[/b]

    New Model Blackhawk Convertible

True, but it would probably cost almost as much as buying a new Bisley.

    New Model Blackhawk Convertible

I got 2 for CAS so I could practice with the cheap 9mm Wolf ammo. As big and close as the handgun targets are the 9mm is great to practice with. I have both barrel lengths. They are tack drivers with the magnum loads. When shooting 9mm, both of them shoot jacketed bullets better than lead. I...

    New Ruger SASS revolvers

I'm sorry, I've never liked the SASS logo, and I just couldn't buy them with those medallions on them.
