    Looking for Range Holster Recommendations.

Recently picked up a 3” GP100, and would like a leather OWB holster for use at the range. Anyone have suggestions and or pics of something that allows for easy reholstering? Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the prices will be settling down soon. Just hoping I can ride out the storm until it does.

    R. Grizzle City Slicker 2: Ruger SP101 2.25" (ME)

Well I ended up changing my carry gun, so don't have a use for this holster. This holster is made with a reinforced mouth to aid in reholstering, has the added hammer shield, and for more adjustment is has the belt loop attachments (1.25")--which can be adjusted to get most comfortable angle...

    SR1911 barrel

Here is a picture example of what the "plunk test" is looking to accomplish with semi-autos. Typically seen it referred to as the "plunk" test, as it is the sound you can get when you drop the round into the barrel.

    Powder Availability

I don't blame others for stocking up. There are a number of factors that are having a key impact on the supplies: from reloaders stocking up when they find available, new reloaders joining the frenzy, and scalpers buying and flipping. While I don't get a warm feeling when another reloader...

    SR1911 barrel

Say what? Think at least 1 or 2 people are happy with 200gr. LSWC's. What were you using for cast bullets Blackhawk Kid? Typically sized to .452 and "plunk" tested for correct crimp and OAL, and you are good-to-go.

6gun, I didn't believe it until I saw it for myself, but yes reselling is occurring with handgun powder. Seeing 8lb jugs with prices in excess of $320 on GunBroker, was an eye opener.

    Powder Availability

Rifle powders are become available more frequently. If you need 50BMG powder you are good to go, since every vendor seems to have it in stock for every manufacturer from 1- 8lbs. Everyone seems to have Hodgdon 869, H380, LT-32, MagPro, 5744, Steel, 3 or 4 of the Alliant Power-Pro's, and IMR...

    WTS/WTT Ruger Mini-14 6.8 SPC Mag (5rd) (ME)

SPF: Coastie. Picked up this mag awhile back before I realized it was for a Mini-14 chambered in 6.8 spc instead of .223 Rem. It is new in the package. Would like to trade for another factory .223 5-rounder, or sell for $10+shipping.

Anyone Slugged the barrel on their SP101?

Thanks for the reminder Jimbo357mag. I am looking for moderate loads, so I will check out the data on Unique as I have a couple cans of that.

Anyone Slugged the barrel on their SP101?

Appreciate all the additional feedback. Looks like my first powder will be 2400 in my .357 loads. Not sure why none of the manuals I own, show the 162gr SWC in .357 data--but show load data under 38 special. The starting loads they show under 158gr SWC's are right around 13.0 grs, so that is...

Anyone Slugged the barrel on their SP101?

Thanks AGE Ranger. I know they can vary in the machining, but at least that gives me good a reference point. Last night I got 25 sized at .358, and really considering loading them in 357 mag. cases instead of 38 special. As it really is a pain cleaning the ring buildup in the cylinder...
