    SR9 Williams Firesight and Holsters

I ended up going with the Novaks front and rear. Huge improvement over the factory sights for me, but with no other experience with fiber optic sights, can't rate how they stack up to others.

    Done with plastic guns?

I would think that puts you in the minority. I swapped my SR9c for a Beretta Nano as much for weight as size. It makes a huge difference to many of us.

    SR9 Novak Fiber Optic sights

Shot my first match with them. On an indoor range with fluorescent lights, they light up like a Christmas Tree. Quite pleased.

    SR9 Novak Fiber Optic sights

For anyone interested. Got the Novak fiber optics for my SR9. Had them installed by a gunsmith. Gave them a good test drive the last couple of days. Ran it out to 25 yards and shot probably the best 5 shot group I've ever shot at that range.

    Talon grips for LC9?

In my opinion, the rubberized Talon Grips are an excellent addition for a carry pistol. I have put them on two Beretta Nanos, and an M&P Shield. They provide a noticeably improved grip without being tacky. The always seem to be well cut so they look like they belong on there as opposed to a...

    SR9 Williams Firesight and Holsters

Aaaand, just got the email that they are, in actuality, on back order

    SR9 Williams Firesight and Holsters

Given the amount of info online  I guess replacing the sights on an SR9 is not that popular of an operation. Certainly not with fiber optics. I decided to punt and get the Novak's off shopruger.com that seem to be pretty standard size and spent a little more than I cared to for a...

    9mm or .40 in a subcompact?

For me it's not "can you shoot it". It's do you want to. I want my carry to be something I want to shoot often. I can shoot my friends Kahr PM 40 accurately. But I don't enjoy it. If I owned one, I would have to make myself practice with it for proficiency instead of wanting to shoot it for...

    SR22 Pistol ammunition

I agree with those suggesting you have a real problem. Haven't found a 22 ammo my SR22 has an issue with yet. I even went through a mag of subsonics before I realized they were not what I thought they were. I had one range session with failure to extract issues which I think had to do with...

    SR9 Williams Firesight and Holsters

These are the ones I'm talking about. http://shopruger.com/70941-SR9-SR9c-SR40-SR40c-SR45-Sight-Set-12936/productinfo/12936/ And this is a picture that was attached to a review showing just how oversized they are. http://www.bz1-img.com/images_customers/03/04/27292729_199145_full.jpg

    SR9 Williams Firesight and Holsters

I've seen the HiViz front. It is much lower than the Williams sight. In fact the only negative reviews I've seen on the Williams is just how high the front post is. The rear is high as well I think. But that is not an issue as far as holsters.

    SR9 Williams Firesight and Holsters

I'm sure this info is buried in some other threads, but I'm hopeless at searches and I'm not finding the specific info I'm looking for. I am hoping to buy a SR9 very soon. It will be a range/casual competition gun, I have no intention to carry it. Besides Talon grips, I am seriously...

Can SR22 pistol extraction issue be ammo related?

I think this has only recurred once since my original post, and it was on an initial dud that fired on a subsequent trigger pull which caused it to eject normally. Given all I have read about how unreliable 22's can be, I think the SR22 must be a real gem. I have had very few failures. Seems...

    SR9c Review

Maybe not. First I would try to have other people shoot it. Hopefully that is an option for you. Even if you don't have a shooting buddy, spouse, etc, if you are at a well populated range most anyone would be happy to put a few rounds down range for you (and its a good way to strike up a...

    SR9c Review

Seems a number of SR9c's need a bit of sight adjustment out of the box. I had to crank the elevation all the way down on my rear sight and drift it slightly to the left before I got it to hit point of aim. (and for the record this was only after establishing it shot the same for a number of...
