PC9... trying to determine if I should keep it or sell it

I have these in .40. They also came with my ex-CSP carbine.

PC9... trying to determine if I should keep it or sell it

I have 6 (excessive?) of the ProMag 20 rounders in .40 S&W and I have used them in my carbines and my P944 with never a problem. I would recommend them if you are looking for high capacity mags for Ruger P-Series guns. I bought one to begin with and torture tested it at the range, and then...

Range Report: Stock 10/22 50th Anniversary Target

My comment was as called for as yours. You weren't there, so keep your judgement calls to yourself. More than once the @$$hat stood far enough back in the lane so he could see people's reactions when he touched off a round. He and his good buddy seemed to get a big chuckle out of it. Yeah...

Range Report: Stock 10/22 50th Anniversary Target

It is odd, if you think not laying out minimum $50 bucks is "odd". Bolt release and buffer were less than $20 together, and the polishing was free. I am a cheapskate, what can I say. Anyways, the point was that the 10/22 Target model is pretty accurate out of the box. 8)

Range Report: Stock 10/22 50th Anniversary Target

I picked up my Ruger 10/22 "Target" (model 1121) from my LGD on a transfer from Gunbroker, and while I was there, I decided to slap an optic on, and see what it could do in comparison to my 10/22 Carbine (circa 2009). The Carbine has a VQ auto bolt release and bolt buffer, as well as a polished...

PC9... trying to determine if I should keep it or sell it

I have 2 PC4s, one safe queen with maybe 50 total rounds through it, and another ex-Maryland State Police gun that I picked up from CDNN a few years ago. I wouldn't part with either of them, and out of the myriad of guns I own, they are definitely in my top 5 as far as fun factor. Most folks I...

    auto 10/22 mag release mod

Same here. I have installed the Volquartsen version of both of these in all of my 10/22s. Two very practical and affordable modifications that should be stock in my opinion.

new 10/22 with loose trigger group assembly pins

If you're OCD like me, and it bothers you a lot, you can do what I did and use a roll pin punch to flare out some of the material around the inner radius just inside the hole on the poly trigger housing. In 2 of my 10/22s, that is where the slop was. Now they are tight enough not to wiggle...

    Lets see your AR's!

Ruger SR-556 with Magpul CTR stock, Troy Modular Combat Grip, Vortex Strikefire, Tacstar T6 in a CAA FAS-2 mount and a Giles Sling from Wilderness Tactical. This is my grab and go setup with the P944 and the extra mags in a Hawkepaks MA-61 Rifle GoBag.

    Home Defense Storage

+1 on the GunVault. I have a 5 and 6 year old and have had a GunVault Multi Deluxe since they were born - actually a little bit before. With a little practice, you can open it as quickly as a drawer on your nightstand.

    PC 9 Lower Receiver assembly

I have completely disassembled one of my PC4s to clean/check it since it was a police trade-in, and I had no idea as to the maintenance and reliability of it. If you could snap a pic of the trigger group, and the underside of the upper with the bolt and counterweight in place, I could probably...

    sr 556

I have had my SR-556 for about a month now, and so far, I have found it to be well-built and impressively accurate. It is slightly front-heavy due to the length of the Troy rails and the far-forward mounting of the piston system, but overall, the forward weight reduces muzzle-flip and gives the...

    Ruger pc4 carbine

I do love the mag pouch. :) The light is a Tacstar T6 in a First Samco FAS2 light mount. It's all held on with a FAB Defense BSR1 barrel rail mount. I tried the clamp that came with the Tacstar at first, and it moved too much, plus, it is not easily removable. I think I got all the bits for...

    Ruger pc4 carbine

I have 2 and I love 'em. One is mint, the other is from the Maryland State Police via CDNN. They go nice with my P944TH. The 20-rounders I have are ProMag, and I have not had one single problem with any of them.

    P944 recomendations?

Yep, love it. :D Fairly accurate, very reliable, looks good, and it's a Ruger. You find one you want to buy or are you just weighing your options?
