Hello everyone,
I have a pair of these grips that are like new. The grips have been mounted on my 1911, but never fired with them on. Comes with the necessary low profile mounting screws and screw housings. In great condition. Has the delta triangular checkering pattern. Works well for...
I understand that the Springfield armory 1911s have an internal lock system within the main spring housing and I hear that they are simply taken out and replaced by another main spring housing if you want to get rid of it. However, is this a potential liability waiting to happen?
Is it similar...
The only SR1911 I have seen locally for sale is one that is used and on consignment and for sale for $775. It has been in the case for several months now. Go figure. Although I see a lot of people handling it, other than the drooling, everyone looks at the price tag and is put off immediately...
I do not wear low hanging shirts. I usually have some type of shirt tucked in between the iwb holster and my body. With iwb i am able to wear a vest that meets just below my belt line and it conceals the gun completely. Do not have any experience with owb, my attire would not allow me to do so.
I carry mine regularly in a crossbreed supertuck. I positioned the clips to cant the holster slightly forward on my hip at the 8 O'clock position. No one has ever noticed and i have no trouble sitting down or walking around. The supertuck along with a good belt keeps it very secure to the point...
Well I cleaned the SP101 last night as thoroughly as possible without fully taking the gun apart. I got a lot of the powder residue off but I still have that jagged circular ring on the inner side of the forcing cone. Did some research and I found other similar threads about this and many came...
^This would make sense, I took it shooting two days ago and haven't had the chance to clean i up fully yet. I am going to clean it up and report back. Thanks!
I was looking over my SP101 the other night and noticed that my forcing cone showed these marks. Specifically, if you could, take a look at the rough inner side of the forcing cone and notice the small dent/nick at the 6' O clock position of the forcing cone. My SP101 is not too old nor has it...
You seem to know a good amount on mini 14s, mind if I ask you a few things that are a bit hazzy for me?
1) The bolt locks back on the last round right? I hear people some times have trouble with this not occurring every time.
2) What mags do you run? Factory ruger only? Have you tried the GEN...
You are the first I have heard to sell their ARs in order to get mini 14s. I am glad to hear this as well, think you may have just convinced me to purchase one. I have been debating getting one over an AR. I love the look of the mini 14a much more so than the AR. And the traditional hold of the...
I use HKS, tuff products speed strips, and five star aluminum speedloaders for my SP01.
HKS- are for the house and are loaded with 38 special +p
Tuff products is what I carry normally
five start- are for the house and are loaded with .357
The two speedloaders look and feel really different...
I am in the same boat, but do not have the SR1911 yet. When you say you do not need a gunsmith, and need tools. Exactly what tools? Any recommendations on brands of ambi safeties?
Sigh...I have a friend from class who shoots guns and supposedly knows proper gun handling. He was over the other day and was wanting to take a look at a few of my firearms. I agreed and asked him which one. He was really fond of my Ruger SP101. The SP101 was on my hip at the time...
