Good powder for "wimpy" .38 rounds

Odd man out here ... I use Ramshot True Blue from .380 up to light .357 loads. Really good reason too ... bought two lbs to load 5.7x28, then got nervous about loading that round so I have to use it up ... :? I will go back to W231 when this stuff runs out, but TB actually works pretty well...

    New 327 GP-100

I too have a SP101 in .327, and a GP100 in .357. I love the .327 rnd, six shots in a SP and 7 in a GP. The 85 gr load seems perfect in the SP, not far off the ME of a full load .357, and the 100 gr Fed is only 50 lb-ft shy. Pretty decent recoil in the SP, but probably fine with the GP (the...

    Hammer or No Hammer?

That is super cool advice. Maybe obvious for most here, but I never thought of doing it that way. Been doing pistols for quite a while, but getting back into revo's. Mostly because I am too old and fat to bent over and pick up the brass. I tried that just now and works for me ... Thanks ...

    Reloading equioment advice

Actually, I have stopped loading 9mm. The cost savings just are not worth the hassle of setting up my Dillon 650. I now load .327, .357, 38 spec, and .380. The 327 and 380 are for availability reasons, the 357 and 38 are for low recoil target loads. My 650 is 12 years old ... I would have a...

    Glock 26 vs. Ruger SR9c vs. S&W M&P9c

I have had a G26 for a long time. Have an LCP also. I ask myself, if I had a Glock (pick one) and a Ruger (pick one) laying the the table, and some big bad guy was breaking down my door, which would I grab (pistols, not revolvers). I have 6 or 7 Rugers (wheel guns and the LCP) but I would...

    Reloading equioment advice

I have had three Rockchucker presses ... very solid. I have an RCBS Partner press now, plenty good enough for pistol loads, and a Dillon 650 (not a good starter unit BTW). A friend bought a Rockchucker off Ebay ... the whole setup for pretty cheap money. That's where I would start. John

    my take on +P loads....

Nice thing about handloading. You can load target/plinking loads. Never shot 44 spec in my 44 mag, never shot 38 spec in my .357's, and now never will shoot 32 mag in my new .327. Just reduced loads. Also just got an LCR (have and LCP) ... pretty snappy with +p's, another example of maybe...

    Ruger SP101

Just bought two, both 3" ... One in .357, and one in .327. Rugers no six and seven I think. Very nice guns, didn't realize how much smaller than the GP100 they are. Now, to find 327 ammo. John
