Thanks to all who responded to my problem. I bought a 3/32 drill bit and using my dremel tool made another. The first try I used the same length as the Brownell replacements that kept breaking. I found it to bind just like the Brownell ones. I began to gradually shorten the plunger in increments...

The loading gate is closed when I try to cock it. I can pull the trigger back and see the cylinder latch retract and the transfer bar move up but just at that point it starts to bind.
