I was able to add a 2015 Ruger 1911 to my stable.
My 2010 .44 Special Blackhawk Bisley, 2015 1911 .45, and 2020 Single Seven Bisley .327 Magnum make for a terrific trio.
Ruger sure does a great job working to make these limited editions special.
I looked again and in addition to the maker "Hickok" on the inside of the arm pieces, it also is marked "USA." I never saw a tie bar clasp or a box for these. They were in a vintage cufflink leather covered case that was my grandfather's. I took a photo of the "USA" marking and I'll post in a...
I don't see a 10K or 14K stamp on them anywhere. To my eye, they do not appear to be gold plated. Plated in a gold-is color, but the back and the mechanism have a rose gold or bronze-ish color that does not necessarily look like actual real gold to me. The face with the red enamel though...
My grandfather, Leslie V. Tracy, was the gun buyer for Marshall Field & Company on State Street in Chicago in the 1950s. He was presented with this set of Ruger cufflinks made by Hickok for his sales of Ruger products. My understanding is that there were a very limited number of these...
Holy moly! The Ruger Forum is BACK! I can login again! Phew! I've missed ya'll!
I just HAD to have one of the 500 Jeff Quinn Memorial Ruger GP100 .44 Specials when Lipsey's came out with them in Jeff's memory. Very classy of Ruger to do!
Since this forum locked me (and quite a few others)...
Jeff Quinn was committed to the charity Bikers Who Care out of Clarksville, Tennessee, near where he lived. In lieu of flowers at his funeral, the family asked for donations to www.bikerswhocare.org
Artist Lorin Michki created an original color pencil artwork portrait of Jeff Quinn that was...
Has anyone found subsonic .22lr ammunition that is very reliable in their Ruger Mark IV with a suppressor?
I'm leaning toward buying one, but my previous experience with Ruger Mark II pistols (I had two of them) was that they were finicky about the .22 ammo they would should.
With a...
Nothing against the gun for sale here, but you're absolutely correct tulsamal: That gun was 100% made at the Ranger plant in Alabama. None of the parts were made in Germany. Every single part was made here in the US and assembled here in the US.
My best friend bought a 3-screw Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 Magnum from the estate of Terry Murbach (Will Terry here on the Ruger Forum).
It had been converted to the transfer bar at some point, so value as an original 3-screw was not a concern.
My buddy shot 400 rounds of Magnums and...
Not "my" website, I just contribute to it. Justin runs it and runs it well. Mike Wood is a good friend of mine and he writes the most amazing articles about revolvers. He's written a book or two and I think he's the smartest guy I know. Since he flew combat missions over the middle east and...
Thanks guys! My dad shot every gun he ever owned. He once bought an unfired .44 Russian S&W break top at a gun show. This was 40 years ago. He cut down .44 Special brass to make .44 Russian brass and reloaded it. This was before .44 Russian started being made again when Cowboy Action...
