    A Hoarder's Story

I have a lot of tools, equipment, and components, but I am not a "hoarder". I'm a tool nut (and lifelong machinist/mechanic) so I have 1.48 metric tons of reloading equipment, purchased over 40 years. As for components, I have purchased a little extra over a period of 30 years every time I...

Unique now has a very unique price!

I don't have the guts to scalp customers with those prices. I know business is business but charging up to 10 times normal is immoral...

    Reloading vs. buying factory ammo

I reload because I like to. I don't count pennies mainly because I enjoy reloading so much I haven't purchased any factory ammo in 9+ years, and that was for a gun I had no dies for. I started reloading out of curiosity. In summer of '69 I was emptying the cylinder of my 38 Spec. and thought; "I...

    LCRx in 22 Mag

I agree with the dry fire suggestion. Even if snap caps are needed (?), I'd try this first. I have a few handguns that were less than "perfect" and improved greatly with use. Did you clean it well when you first got it? But since it's been back to the factory that prolly isn't an issue. You...

Is it OK to use brake cleaner or carb cleaner on LCR?

Yep, non-chlorinated Brakleen is OK; https://www.crcindustries.com/products/brakleen-174-pro-series-brake-parts-cleaner-non-chlorinated-18-wt-oz-05088ps.html . CRC green can.

    Sierra Load Manual 6th ed

I'd call Sierra and probably send the manual back to Midway for a refund. You purchased a new product that was faulty, incomplete.

    Bullet weight in LCR9?

Thanks, I appreciate your experience. I have several revolvers and 2 snubbies in 38 Special but I kinda like what I've read/seen about the 9mm LCR so I want to try one for myself. Seen good reviews with meat target and gel testing with 115 and 124 gr bullets, but found nothing about 147 gr 9mm...

    Bullet weight in LCR9?

Well, all I wanted was some feedback from LCR9 owners/shooters as I already know how 147gr factory loads work in my Masada, Ruger LC9s, FMK, and Tokerev. Plus there are hundreds of 147 gr 9mm SD loads "tests" online and 99% are for carry guns/semi-autos. Just curious about performance in a...

    Bullet weight in LCR9?

I just discovered I put this in the wrong sub-forum. Sorry. Mobuck did you shoot any in an LCR? I have a few 9mm loads with 124 gr. JHP (maybe 1,000 or so as I chose this weight bullet as the best for all my 9mm shooting) and have about 500 "JIC" rounds. Most of the reviews/tests of the LCR9...

    some Praise for the P-Series

I've got my "old pals", my facorites, and my P90 is right nea the top of my list for semi-autos next to my 1911. I have no idea how many rounds I have put through it but I've owned it for 18 years and took it out every range session up to reciently when I got back into my 44 Mag revolvers. The...

    Bullet weight in LCR9?

I have my name in at a couple dealers for a Ruger LCR 9 and am jes waitin'. I have 4 semi autos in 9mm with 3" to 5" bbls and have tried all ammo from 115 gr JHP to 147 gr JHP and T/C and know each gun has it's favorite and which works best in all 4 (124 gr. JHP over some Universal). I have...

    38 SP Sizing Issue

No offense to the OP, but from what I'm reading its operator error. I started reloading in '69, 38 Special and I have never had any chambering problems in my 3, 38 Specials or my one 357 Mag., and never even considered a Lee FCD, running ammo back through a sizing die, or a case gauge...

    LCR 9mm

Just curious of owner's impressions. I've read about the smooth DA trigger w/no stacking and the overall good, accurate shooting. I have 3 Ruger revolvers and two rifles and do like the quality of even my "cheap" Ruger American in 308 (I've shot a few 7/8" groups with mine)...

    .38 Special case split

Occasionally a bad case will slip through and split on firing, poor brass most likely the problem. You mention I "couldn’t eject bullets from the cylinder.", did you have a squib or just not able to extract the fired case?
