I have to agree. Mine are checkered rosewood that I managed to find used. Another option is Bearpaw grips. One of the fellows on my SASS state match posse a couple of years ago had them on his Bisleys and they felt as good or better than my Eagle Gunfighters. https://bearpawgrips.com/

I have certainly given thought to trying just to get a similar gun and leave this one alone. Truth is just buying a 6.5” 3 screw gun is financially out of reach. I like the fact that this is a 2 cylinder gun, and I haven’t seen a lot of 6.5” guns in that configuration. I did have it lettered...

My Bisley Vaqueros wear Eagle Gunfighter grips as recommended by Sacramento Johnson. Significantly more ergonomic than the oem grips.

It comes with an extended mag baseplate for those who don't to wrap a pinky under. Frankly the stubby grip is why I would buy this gun. I prefer to carry at 3-4 o'clock. It is the grip that tends to print. If I wanted a longer grip, I'd get a different gun. I would be interested in a long term...
