Shot SR9c tonight - shot great!

WWB seems to be the one some people have trouble with with the SR9c. My one and only failure to fire was with WWB.

Shot SR9c tonight - shot great!

Great to lete the kids shoot. Mine are 5 and 7, so we stick with BB's or the .22  I have had probelems with the pin, but it is still a great feeling and shooting pistol.

    SR9c walking pin

I run mine about as dry as you can. Ruger over-lubes them from the factory (more like rear end grease), but after initial cleanup, I put a drop of oil on each side of the slide and that's it. It's not worth shipping to Ruger. I'm going to try try loctite, but I'm not going to push the pin back...

    SR9c walking pin

Well, Ruger responded today via email: "Response: We would need to examine the pistol to determine what is causing this issue. We recommend returning the pistol to the factory for examination and repair. You will need to send the complete pistol UPS or FEDEX to: Customer Service 200 Ruger...

    SR9c walking pin

On the Elsie forum, Ram said Ruger just replied "bend the pin". I will shoot another box of 100 through it and see if it progresses, then I'll call. If they tell me the same, it will be up for sale or trade. Man, I want to love this gun, but it is something I don't want to think about every time...

    Ruger SR9C reviews ?

I own both (SR9c and 642), and if I had to pick one over th other, it would be the J frame. Although I fell in love with the feel of the 9c, the light striker strikes and the cam pin moving out has made me reconsider my purchase, especially only after 150 rounds. The j-frame is years proven, and...

    SR9c walking pin

I would say by the number of quick replies in this one thread that it is indeed a prevalent issue. Mine is coming out on the right side. It really doesn't matter to me if they are churning out guns or not. It is an issue, albeit a lesser one than it could be. But I still don't like looking at...

SR9c bad day at the range

My thoughts exactly. I think it is a combination of both hard primers and a striker that leans on the weak side. I have only had one misfire out of about 150, and that was with WWB. Had no problems with Tula and Win PDX.

Debate: SR9c vs Glock 19 (for an SR9 owner)

I totally agree. I have had both in hand at the same time, and the 9c and G26 are realtively the same size. The 19 is substantially taller.
