You can't go wrong with a Marlin. I'm the proud owner of a pre-Remington: Model 1881 in 45/70, bought brand new by my Great Grandpa in 1883. Still goin stong, action still smooth as silk, still shoots straight as an arrow 129 years later - Double Thumbs Up on Marlin.
