    Redhawk barrel/frame separation

Contender, I appreciate all your info, but now I'm wondering about my 1984 model. As I previously stated, I have probably fired this gun a few thousand times since I purchased it new, mostly with factory equivalent handloads. Both with jacketed and cast bullets. My gun has the 7.5" barrel...

    Redhawk barrel/frame separation

Thanks for the help guys. I have three Redhawks, 1984, 1995, and 2009. Just wondered if a couple of them, just recently purchased, might fall into this timeframe. I know the 1984 model is good because I have fired it thousands of times with no problems.

    Redhawk barrel/frame separation

I have been a Redhawk fan for a long time, and currently own three. I just recently heard of this problem. Does anyone know what the years of manufacture were when this problem surfaced? And when and if it has been corrected?

    .41 mag

Go to Whittakerguns.com. Just saw a flattop 41 magnum Blackhawk in the case, brand new. If I remember correctly, it's the 5.5" model.

    Security-Six "Sticky" Trigger

Every new Ruger revolver I have ever owned has gotten extremely better with a lot of dry firing. It won't hurt the gun. (Except rimfire) I actually try to dry fire any new Redhawk about one thousand times before worrying about how it shoots.

    RedHawk questions

Sorry for my ignorance, but what is RENE? Is there a way that I can contact Chet or someone who knows him could have him contact me?

    RedHawk questions

Ok, I called Ruger, they said to put my questions in an email to customer service, which I did on 7/24. Lo and behold, I received an answer. According to them, the 7.5" Redhawks first shipped in 1980. The first 4.2" models shipped in 2006, and the first 5.5" models were shipped in 1997. I...

    RedHawk questions

Thanks contender. So you are saying that the 5.5" model first appeared in the 1986 catalog? I appreciate everybody's input.

    RedHawk questions

The new production models, in addition to having the writing moved to the underlug also have different firing pins and different extractor stars. In my experience, the finish (SS) is not done quite as well as the older guns. Many thanks for the welcomes. I don't know why I just found this...

    Have a GP100 44 SPL? Happy?

Does the brass bead sight you got from Ruger fit better than the original fiber optic sight?

    Have a GP100 44 SPL? Happy?

Like shootinfule, I put the old style grips (compacts) on mine and it has become one of my favorite revolvers. Certainly the most carried.

    RedHawk questions

Hi folks, New to this forum, and I have asked these questions on another forum. It was suggested that here is where to get the answers. Here goes.....I have been a RedHawk fan since their introduction in 1980. As a matter of fact I bought the first one I came across in the gun shops I visited...
