The sp101 handles 357mag loads fine. With the Hogue grips on it the guard doesn't rub the knuckle. Why would someone want to shot 357,as out of the sp101? Maybe they like a small 357mag revolver. I own both a gp100 5 inch and a 3 inch sp101. While gp100 tames the 357 mag rounds the sp101...

Your issue is exactly why I put Hogue on mine several years ago. After two range trips with a bloody knuckle I figured it was time to try something else. I first went with rubber Hogues and then later switched to wood Hogues for when I ccw it.

I'm so glad I bought mine a few years back before they became harder to find. Mine is on my belt right now in a Simply rugged holster.

I'm not against the 6 shot gp100 at all. I love mine. I just think a 7 shot would be kind of cool to have. Really I have no need but just cool.

I've never had an issue with Midway.
