I started with my Dad's Remington 511 clip feed 22 S,L,LR at age 10. First year he kept the clip. I think it made me a better shot. When my grandson was starting to learn to shoot, I gave him the same gun. NO clip. IMHO, they are hard to beat for a starter rifle, one that will last a lifetime...

I sold a Ruger RSM 375 H&H w/ Leupold 1-4x variable with post reticle for $1950.00 a couple of years ago. Had around 200 rds through it. Looked like new. No box. I think your gun should bring from $2-2500., Maybe more if NIB.

Since there is no response to the above question, just what in the world is a Ruger 6mm RBE? Apparently, it was designed by Ruger. Have searched the web with no results. An answer would be appreciated.

What cartridge would a 6mm RBE be formed from, and what velocities are we looking at with what bullet weights?

I always thought the early Internationals, especially the checkered ones, were the nicest and best looking 10-22's made. IMHO

Please do not trash such a rare gun. Do as others say, sell it, and build what you want. If F class is your thing, go for it with a purpose built rifle.

I would buy two rifles. A smaller caliber for game up to deer size, and a 300 or 338 magnum for elk and moose. My favorites for years were 25-06 and 338 Win Mag. The 338 seemed to kick less than the 300. Used the 25-06 for everything from prairie dogs to deer. Too old to hunt elk anymore, used...

Welcome from a fellow SW Kansas Ruger fan. Got my first one in 1966, a Blackhawk 44 Mag with a 6 1/2" barrel. Still have it, plus several other Ruger pistols and rifles.

I am a big Marlin lever fan, but that seems awfully high priced for a lever gun. Hoping they will start making the Model 39 again.
