Any extended grips for (old) Vaquero?

I'll see what I can find. I doubt I'll find a spare grip frame in my country, but perhaps I'll get lucky. Shipping it could be a little tricky, as while it's not considered a "main part" by our law and should be legal to ship, the shape is so easily recognized on xray as something gun-related...

Any extended grips for (old) Vaquero?

Sounds good. I don't really care about the trigger guard shape, just want a nice full grip. My Vaquero is stainless, so it's good to know the grip frame comes in stainless too. Will see if I can find one in my country, or import it.

Any extended grips for (old) Vaquero?

Ok, that likely explains the difference. So what would be my options if I wanted such grip frame on the Vaquero? Is that possible/compatible?

Any extended grips for (old) Vaquero?

My Old Army has brass grip frame, it's from the 70's. I don't think anyone did anything special to it, other than likely practiced some fancy cowboy spinning and dropping it many times, as I assumed from the damaged grips when I bought it. I replaced them years ago, I think I actually asked at...

Any extended grips for (old) Vaquero?

Recently, I bought a Vaquero in .45Colt. Made in 1997, unused, like it just left the factory. Really like it, except for one thing - the grip. It's just way too short. I have the Old Army and while I knew the grips were not interchangeable, I expected them to be somewhat similar in size. They're...

Ruger American - LH shooting question

That was not my question. Perhaps I didn't put it right: "provides enough space for your thumb to fit under the bolt, if you hold it left handed and operate the bolt with your right hand?" - I ment enough space for the LEFT thumb, as you hold the stock wrist with your left hand and operate the...

Ruger American - LH shooting question

I would think about a left handed model, but they don't make one in 300BLK. I may not get this one after all, but I just wanted to know whether or not is that handling possible, perhaps for future reference.

Ruger American - LH shooting question

Can someone please tell me whether the original stock on American (Ranch) RH model provides enough space for your thumb to fit under the bolt, if you hold it left handed and operate the bolt with your right hand? Possibly interested in the Magpul stock as well, same question (as it seems to go...

Anyone knows about Redhawk 45LC future availability?

Well, in the end it looks like I have to let the Redhawk plans go... money is tight. I may yet revisit the SA option though, have a good offer for an unfired old model Vaquero in .45LC, from 97.

Anyone knows about Redhawk 45LC future availability?

Local importer says they should get the Redhawks in either November shipment, or early in '24. They're taking orders on the .45 model, so unless they have no idea what are they doing, it looks like Ruger is about to make some. Or they can possibly have an older contract with a dealer (or Ruger...

Anyone knows about Redhawk 45LC future availability?

Buying from Gunbroker is not an option for me. Also, I really want a Ruger revolver. I thought on a Ruger forum I'll find some support for that idea :D

Anyone knows about Redhawk 45LC future availability?

SWs in .45 Colt are very hard to find in my country and even a used one will cost more than a new Redhawk. The price of a Redhawk is very high for me already and I'm not paying even more for a used handgun. Not for any handgun, I guess. The Anaconda is the same story, just even harder to find.

Anyone knows about Redhawk 45LC future availability?

Yes, I know about those. I've said it before, I'm not looking for a SA revolver. I know the 45 Colt is much more "home" in those, but it's really not what I'm looking for. Not that I wouldn't like getting one, but as I'm looking for several things in a revolver, I can either end up buying...

Anyone knows about Redhawk 45LC future availability?

I've mentioned that before, I don't care for the ACPs much, I don't shoot that caliber anyway. I want it primarily for the 45 Colt, which I do shoot and reload. It's one of the few DA revolvers in that caliber I can get here.
