Ruger bx triggers do you like them ?

Like Achigan, I am nowhere close to being a connoisseur du triggeurs, but I really like the BX. I haven't had the opportunity to use it a lot since the range near my residence has had to close due to the current virus issue. My youngest son tried it and thought it was a marked improvement over...

    .380 plinking rounds

Just throwing something in the "for what it's worth," or, "just my opinion" category. I don't know if you own a .380 pistol. If you do, I find Alliant's Bullseye propellant a good choice. First, because I can get a lot of mileage out of a pound. Second, it gives what I call snappy recoil out...

    Ruger MkII stock question

wxl1, I'm just curious. Did you find the stock you were looking for? My curiosity stems from a similar situation. I have a MKII in .243. I wanted to replace the factory stock with a synthetic variety. It was difficult to find what I was looking for (Hogue over-molded). There were a few...

Were after-market synthetic stocks ever made for early M77s?

Thank you, one and all for your replies. I thought I found a Hogue over-molded model on eBay. The fine print said for a Mk II. Mine is the older, tang safety issue. It will probably be only a miracle I ever find one.

Were after-market synthetic stocks ever made for early M77s?

Are there, or have there ever been synthetic, after-market stocks made for the early edition M77's? I have a .30-06 77R, vintage approximately 1976-77 that I would like to convert to black synthetic. I have looked a few places, but to no avail. Thanks for any replies. Kenny B.

    Progressive press?

I know this is way late in adding to the discussion, but here are my thoughts, if not already touched on. For those living here in the Peoples Democratic Republic of Khalifornia, mail order sales of ammunition was banned at the beginning of this year. I shoot a fair amount of a variety of...

    American after-market stock

I recently purchased a replacement stock for my American short-action .223. I have other Ruger rifles with black synthetic stocks and wanted a similar appearance, rather than the factory moss green model. The stock sold by shopruger.com has a 1.25 in. shorter LOP. Not a real big deal, as I am...

    Interested in reloading

Tecuhma is pretty much on target for what I would write. So, I will try not to make this lengthy. One of the best pieces of advice I ever read many moons ago was, "Why not start out with what you will eventually end up with?" Forty years ago, I began my adventures in hand-loading. First for...

    243 shooting problems

Rock 33, this is not advice, merely a reply. I also have a Mark II .243. When I first purchased it a few years ago, I purchased two boxes of Winchester ammo for it. One box had 80 gr pointed soft point projectiles. The second was loaded with 100 gr power point projectiles. As with an old...
