    Gotta get a 9mm pistol.

Take a look at Ruger's SR9 or SR9c. I have the SR9c, and think it's a great compact 9 - very nice trigger, and ambi safety. The SR9 is the full-size version. Both have an accessory rail, and are made in the U.S. (unlike the Glock and XDm). Great pistols for the money.

    The new Ruger SR9sc

So far, I've only pocket carried small 380s simply because they're so small, light, and easy to carry that way. If I were to carry anything bigger, I would probably want to carry a single-stack 9 in a IWB holster, and not a double-stack - thinner the better. I could see carrying a PF9, but...

    The new Ruger SR9sc

If by upper you mean slide, I respectfully disagree that the dimensions wouldn't change. The width of most doublestack pistols is generally ~1/4" wider than equivalent singlestacks, ex S&W M&P/M&Pc 1.2", S&W Shield 0.9". I would guess the same would follow for an SR9sc vs the 1.27" wide SR9/SR9c.

    The new Ruger SR9sc

Better yet, an SR45sc - to compete with SA's new XDs!

    The new Ruger SR9sc

I'm in the market for a single stack 9mm, but am NOT interested in the LC9. I have an SR9c and love it. I'm a lefty and appreciate the ambi-controls, and the great trigger on the SR9c (both major drawbacks of the LC9, IMHO). I wish Ruger would come out with an SR9sc, with IDENTICAL features as...

    WTB: LCP ext floor plate

I'm looking for 1 extended floor plate (part# SC01010) for my Ruger LCP. Please PM me if you have one that you want to sell.

    SR9c and LCP

Same here - love em both!

    Ouch! they ruined the LC9!

My sentiments exactly. This was one of the reasons that I bought my SR9c, and one of the reasons I won't buy an LC9.

    LC9 manual safety

Thanks all for the feedback, and for letting me vent. I like the LC9 and agree that it should be a good seller for Ruger - just bummed that it doesn't have an ambi safety.

    +1 Couldn't agree more

    LC9 manual safety

You're probably right Al, I just hate to have an unusable (or one that I don't practice using) safety on my carry pistol - and Murphy's Law dictates that the safety will be on at the time that I need the pistol the most... I'd rather not risk putting myself in that situation. There are other...

    LC9 manual safety

Had to comment on the LC9 manual safety. I'm a lefty and one of the reasons that I bought my SR9c was the fact that it had an ambidextrous safety. Though the LC9 is a little big for pocket carry, I'd consider it for IWB carry if it weren't for the fact that it only has a safety on one side -...

Vote for or against the LC9

Love my LCP for carry, and love my SR9c for the bedside and range. I had a KelTec PF9 a while ago, but sold it - too big for pocket carry, and too small to shoot comfortably at the range, IMO. The LC9 seems to fit in that same awkward category.

WTB - ext floor plate for LCP

I'm looking for a couple of the 'original' extended mag floor plates for my LCP. These came with the pistol when it was first released and have a little more curve than the current ext floor plates have - see image below. Please PM me if you have a couple that you want to sell. Thanks, Josh
