Anyone know specs and sources for routine maintenance spring kit for the SR1911 in 10mm? I'll be hitting the round count limit for recommended spring replacement in 1911's, not sure 'standard' springs (recoil, main, etc.) fit the 10mm SR1911. Might even want a slightly heavier spring set...

Save your money on magazines, don't pay for the 'Ruger' name. MecGar magazines ARE Ruger magazines.

Anyone know if standard 1911 type recoil springs can be used in the SR1911 10mm? I think the factory spring is 19#, want to put something a little heavier in. Have put flat spring (Wilson?) in 45ACP SR1911, good results. Just curious because of the recoil spring design on the SR1911 10mm.

I now have 500+ rounds through my SR1911 10mm. Absolutely fantastic machine! First round out of the box, hit clay pigeon at 25yds. Seems to like hotter loads, medium level (9.0grs Longshot/180gr Zero JHP) don't seal the chamber well. That's just a good excuse to load nothing but Blasting ammo!

I've come into a 6# keg of AL-8 powder, still good, and would like to use it 9mm, 45ACP, maybe even 44 Mag. I've found some data for 44 Mag, but just about nothing for 9mm and 45acp. A few sites say to use Blue Dot data for starting charges, and AL-8 does not like reduced charges. Can anyone...
