If i'm not mistaken, the 77rls was a 20" bbl. Identical to the RL, except for the sights If the OPs gun has a conventional stock, it sounds like maybe a 30-06 RSI which I think had the 18.5 bbl. and iron sights was put in a non full length stock. John
