    It's the right thing to do for my boys (and maybe my daughter). I actually am keeping one of my dad's, too, that I found out was a nice shotgun (not a Ruger, so I won't mention the name here and offend you all! :lol: ) Thanks again, and I may be back if I need more information on my guns...

    Well thank you, Pete. I sure appreciate the emails, history lesson and advise. I took it today to a gunsmith and got it cleaned up, put a trigger lock on it, a cute little gun sleeve (almost got a pink one to make sure my boys wouldn't mess with it, but it was too tight!) and into the safety...
