Where to buy Ruger Mark Series pistols??

Ranger, they must have sold out quickly, they have the pistol listed but it's OOS. Gallery of guns is new to me and thanks for telling me about it. The price that they have listed is $380.00 which is a good bit higher than on GB. Do you have a FFL or something that helps with lowering the...

Where to buy Ruger Mark Series pistols??

Thanks for the advice, I finally found a new 45/22 RP pistol on gunbroker, it was the only one that I could find on the net. I didn't want to buy on GB but it was that or nothing. It's kind of funny, the seller had a 4 foot long document to read before buying with lots of rules to follow but his...

Where to buy Ruger Mark Series pistols??

I live in a fairly large Florida City but there only a few gun shops with fewer mark series pistols. Many shooters buy online and on our local forum. I am looking for Mark III pistol to suppress but have found relatively few pistols at the usual places on-line. I'd love to have a Mark III 22/45...

Are all mark III Pistols drilled and tapped for scope?

I got the MK III target today and it was tapped. Nice pistol, also got one of the new 22/45's with 1911 wooden grips. Both are very nice pistola, I'll be happy to try them out at the range.

Are all mark III Pistols drilled and tapped for scope?

I think everybody is correct, all target pistols with adjustable sights are drilled and tapped and pistols with fixed sights are not. I'll find out tomorrow for sure and will post after the pistol arrives.

Are all mark III Pistols drilled and tapped for scope?

Yesterday I ordered a Ruger MK III (10103) stainless/synthetic, 5 1/2 barrel from buds. I did my homework before ordering to make sure the mark III's were drilled and tapped for a scope. I called Ruger today to be sure and was floored when I was told that some are drilled and tapped but not all...

Fiber optic front sights on MK 3 Hunter models good or bad?

I like the mark III hunter model pistols but dislike the look of the new fiber optic front sights. Looks like a red jellybean on the pistol. I guess it's just my problem but I believe a sturdy front sight should be made of steel. I suppose you can see the front sight better and it may be more...

    Light striking with a mark I Pistol....Help!

No divit in the chamber (yet) thank goodness and the bolt is clean, I completely stripped it and cleaned every bit of grease and dirt including the bolt face. The firing pin stop pin is a bit loose in the hole and could easily fall out. Maybe it's time to order another one along with a new...

How to replace firing pin rebound spring in a Ruger Mark 1

Bingo!! You are exactly right, the hump faces downward. I reinstalled the spring correctly after cleaning the bolt and all seems to work and there is tension on the firing pin now.. I have a new firing pin ordered (maybe it's time to change since this is a 30 year old pistol) and will replace...

How to replace firing pin rebound spring in a Ruger Mark 1

After having some light primer strikes and a few FTFs in a 30 year old but newly purchased Mark 1 Pistol. I was advised to throughly clean the pistol, especially the bolt and firing pin to try to resolve the problem. I disasembled the pistol took out the filthy bolt for cleaning. I drifted the...

    Light striking with a mark I Pistol....Help!

I recently bought a used Mark I bull barrel pistol. I thnk it was made in the 70's but am not 100% sure. The pistol is accurate and fun to shoot but has a problem. Today while at the range I had several FTF episodes. I examined the rounds and the firing pin strikes were on the extreme edge of...
