Bought my first Ruger, a .357 Blackhawk in 1969. Still have it. My two Ruger favorites are a .32 H&R Single Six bright stainless and a .45 5 1/2" NM Blackhawk.

My KSBC-4 stainless .32 has the milled area in the top strap. The fired case has a 7/20/2006 date. I think the carbon deposit on the front of the cylinder is just more noticeable on the stainless than on blued guns. As others have said, it doesn't take much effort to remove it.

Unfortunately, my .44 WCF is not a Ruger, it's a 5.5" barrel Cimmaron Colt Frontier clone. It is nicely accurate. I've only shot a handful of factory loads thru it. Mostly I reload 200 gr. 0.429" cast bullets from a Lee mould or Hornady's swaged Cowboy bullets, both over Unique or SR4756.
