    Cylinder bags

I'm not in the position to make them like I was in the past, but I do have some partially finished I can finish and sell until things change. If anybody wants them I have black and red, large and small, cylinder bags, a blue scope ring bag and a couple scope cover bags. My photobucket is dead...

New Model Blackhawk cylinder 45LC compatability

Jim, I obviously missed something when I read the OP. Went back and reread it and still must be missing something. I thought the New Model Blackhawks were the same size as the Old Model Blackhawks. When I said measure the Colt cylinder I was referring to the .45 Colt cylinder, not a cylinder...

New Model Blackhawk cylinder 45LC compatability

I have an Old Model BH .45 Colt that has early NM cylinders in it. Apparently they were made soon enough after the old models to fit fine. But I think it was just a fluke or I got real lucky way back then. Measure the ACP cylinder and look for a Colt cylinder as close to that measurement...

    45 Keith

Mine come from a mid 70s mold and cast out to around 265grs with WW lead. Been shooting them over 9.0 grs Unique since the mid 70s. Love the mold. Also use them over Keith's load of 18.5grs of 2400. Very good load. Don't need any more. Joe

    Memphis Belle

Very Beautiful. The Memphis Bell has not been to Springfield, IL so far. I'm hoping she does come here. Now, a question. The original Memphis Bell is a B-17 F. Is this one a real F model, or a converted G model? Joe

    45 Ruger

Lynn, I was thinking on how to word my comments but Wil beat me to it. For many years I've used my Lyman 454424 bullets cast from WW @ 265grs over 9.0grs Unique. I've found this to be the most consistent load in all the .45 Colts I've tried it in and safe for all in good condition other...

    rubber grip life??

I have several sets of Pachmyre rubber grips on my S&W DA's that have been in continual use since the mid to late 1970s. Other than physical wear from contact they are in great shape. Joe

    Sopwith Camel

I've never seen one of those without the skin. My dumb question is; where do they put the gas tank? Joe

    Sentimental Journey in flight

I love them too. When they come to Springfield their flight path takes them right over our house. I have pix of both flying over the house. Joe

    A visit with Bart

Jeff, I grew into my adulthood reading Skeeter Skelton articles and books. I still have all my old Shooting Times magazine and a couple of the soft bound books he wrote. The Arizona and New Mexico desert is what I consider home. I'm stuck in Illynoise right now, but hope to get back to...

Ron Power OLD MODEL (three screw) Cylinder Latch

texaswheelgunner, Yes I was one that had some alignment issues with an over sized base pin. It was with an OM BH in .45 Colt. After re-cutting the forcing cone to 11° and replacing the O S base pin with the factor pin the miss-alignment is still there but not as bad. I may have to check...

    CLC American Holley grips, update.

GAK, I haven't taken an inside and outside pic like you did, but that's just what mine look like. Joe

    CLC American Holley grips, update.

Ethang, For ivory grips, check out the two SAs John Wayne carried in his last movie; "The Shootist". I believe those are ivory. They were his personal guns too. But ..... the guns are Great Westerns, not Colts. And that wasn't the real gun Opie threw across the room at the end of the...
