The Skinner mounts in the rear sight slot. I use it with my original front sight. I have the Skinner front sight but don't feel it's as precise. I'm a fan of rear mounted peep/aperture sights and wondered how a forward mounted peep would work. I absolutely love it!

I have the correct spring kit for the new .22. Getting light strikes. The cylinder pawl in this particular gun is dragging so I ordered a new one. I can give it all a good polishing. Seems like something else might be going on though.

Why would the hammer strike force of single action be that much different than double action?

I have the 14 pound hammer spring and 8 pound trigger return spring installed. I first put an even lighter hammer spring in but moved to the 14 but still have the same issue. Yes, it's the 8 shot model. I have three SP 101’s and a GP 100 so the heavy trigger pull left me wanting.

So I changed out the trigger return spring and the hammer spring in my .22 caliber SP101. I get consistent ignition in double action and absolutely no ignition in single action. I've tried various types of ammo with the same results. Would this be the trigger return spring? Should I change it...
